In 1981, the Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society was established as the first supermarket in Abu Dhabi by a group of professionals. Under the guidance of the late H.H Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, it has now become the premier retail organization in the region, with 15 modern retail venues, 60,000 daily customers, and 1700 trained professionals from 56 countries.
